Congress in Manila (Philippines) 2006
Previous experiences with handicaped musicians repeatedly proved, that these artists deeply touch the hearts of human beings. Their message is a contribution to overcome cultural and social differences and encourages people to commit themselfs for peace. THE BRENZ BAND : 'Ambassadors for Tolerance and Peace'.
It was in this context, when Horst Tögel, founder of the Brenz Band 'Artistes pour la paix de L’UNESCO 2005-2006' und ambassadors for 'Fondation Paix 21' and Roselyne Crausaz, president of 'Fondation Paix 21' were invated by the UNESCO to take part in the international congress of the Unesco Theater Institute in Manila, from 22nd May to 28th May 2006. By this occasion, a personal meeting took place with the UNESCO General Director Koïchiro Matsuura and the president of the Pilippines Mrs. Gloria Arroyo.
